My name is Dave Wright and I’m running as a non-partisan candidate for Governor of Nebraska.

In 1985 I married Joan. We have three children, Issac (1988), Katie (1990), and Hannah (1993). All of them have earned post-secondary degrees. Issac is running the ranch. He has three sons, John (2017), James (2019), and Luke (2020). They are the sixth generation to live on the ranch. Katie teaches at Norfolk Public Schools and coaches volleyball at Norfolk Lutheran High School. She has a son, Josiah (2019), and a daughter Lexi (2021). Hannah is in the marketing department at Omaha Performing Arts in Omaha.

Joan also returned to college and earned her RN degree in 1992 and her BS in business management in 1997. In 2003 we bought the Neligh News and Leader, The Creighton NewsEwing News, and Clearwater Record. We printed five other community newspapers as well. In 2019, we sold the newspapers.
